Legend goes that Seu Irênio burned the musky resin of almescar trees each evening in front of his large, white casa on the Historic Quadrado, hypnotising children with stories and performing tricks, gaining him the affectionate nickname ‘the magician of almescar’. The warmth felt for Irênio by the community inspired a very loving restoration of his home by local artisans.
The Quadrado's only 1-bedroom casa with a pool, and a design perfectly merging rustic modernism with luxury. Light streams through glass tiles hidden in an antique roof, old interior walls stripped to their structural frame allow flow of air and wide Quadrado views, bedroom with spectacular garden bath and double-shower open to the sky beside a private plunge pool.
Thousands of small details executed with care give UXUA its identity.
